If you are Catholic, I beg you to take the time to read this. Many of the Catholic teachings are not Biblical beliefs followed by first century Christians, but rather, they are man-made doctrines. After Constantine’s more ardent profession of Christianity in 324 AD, there were arguments amongst believers as to doctrines. So, some in the church looked to Emperor Constantine to give his opinion and based on his opinions, cemented certain beliefs. This incorporation of man-made teachings persisted until this very day in the Catholic Church. For instance, the teaching of transubstantiation; The Eucharist becoming the literal body and blood of Christ and is a propitiatory sacrifice for sin which is not a Biblical belief and is in fact quite dangerous to one unfamiliar with the Scriptures. Why? Because the Word is clear that: When he died, he died once to break the power of sin.” (Romans 6:10 NLT)
